The visit to Campus 4
So, around two weeks ago, we visited campus 4 of Dayananda Sagar University, situated on the Harohalli Kanakpura road in Ramanagara, Bengaluru. And here I am today, to let you know how it went. And what better way to start the second semester of your first year, than dancing with your friends on the bus on the way to a place, like in the good old days of our school trips? The 1-hour drive from our campus to there felt more like just a few minutes.
To start the experience, I would love to state the quote “First impressions are the best impressions”, and oh boy, the campus infrastructure didn’t disappoint. It felt as though we had been transported to a British university somewhere in the middle of nowhere but with a touch of Indianness. Ask an Indian for their perfect snack, and samosa and chai would be pretty high on their list, and that’s exactly what we received too as a part of high tea. And then was time to soak in the vibes of this pretty campus. We were allowed to loom around the main building for a fair amount of time, and we found no reason to be disappointed in what we saw. Starting from the well-lit and ventilated lecture halls kitted with modern technology to the beautiful library laid with carpet all the way through to reduce noise, everything was a treat to the eyes while maintaining its usefulness nonetheless.

And as though it was a sign that the best was yet to come, we were taken around the campus in our buses to view the sports facilities laid out across the widespread campus area. Last but not the least, we had the pleasure of visiting the hostel. The whole place looked like an apartment complex inside the campus. It was decked with anything you could ask for. Be it working pods, vending machines, or movie screening rooms and gaming rooms, you ask for it, and you got it there. It was an upliftment knowing that the education infrastructure in modern-day India was evolving into something so beautiful and practical.
Well, all good things must come to a close, and as this blog ends, so did our trip. we had lunch, and we departed back to our campus, soaking in the beauty of DSU and the roads that lead to it, quite literally and figuratively. And if you are wondering why there was no blog about this the previous week, I was confused about the legalities of writing about our visit as part of our curriculum. But now that you are reading it, it surely means that those have been sorted out. See you next Monday!
Dream big <3
